Join us for a provider-patient focused perspective on quality of life (QOL) in short bowel syndrome (SBS). Speakers will discuss how to engage with SBS patients to understand their individual needs for achieving QOL.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the role of the multidisciplinary team in supporting QOL in SBS patients.
  • Review the current data on QOL in SBS patients.
  • Provide an overview of the process of patient goal-setting and discuss the variation in patient-specific goals.
  • Review the importance of individualized patient QOL rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
