What You'll Learn
The Latin American region faces heterogeneous clinical realities, significant gaps in resource availability, and limited and unequal access to specialized training in nutrition support. This session aims to provide a space for exchange with regional and global experts and aims to impact the safety, quality, and timeliness of nutrition support.
- Applied Clinical Innovation: Incorporating contemporary methodologies for the assessment of body composition, functional status, and nutritional risk and integrating multimodal intervention models and nutrition support pathways adapted to real-world Latin American contexts.
- Continuing Education with International Standards: Based on ASPEN, FELANPE, and ESPEN guidelines and consensus statements, ensuring scientific rigor and clinical applicability and utilizing active learning methodologies focused on clinical practice and case-based analysis.
- Regional Leadership Development and Strengthening: Promoting the consolidation of a Latin American network of professionals capable of educating, influencing, and innovating within their institutions and encouraging active participation in ASPEN scientific committees, publications, congresses, and forums.
- Alignment with Practitioner Needs: Providing updated, practical tools that can be immediately transferred to real clinical settings, strengthening competencies for certification and leadership, increasing Latin American representation within ASPEN and its working groups, and stimulating the development of capacities to standardize, lead, and improve nutrition care models within institutions and across countries.
