Travel awards for the ASPEN 2026 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference are now closed.

ASPEN is pleased to announce the following travel awards to support conference and travel expenses for select ASPEN26 attendees. These awards provide clinicians with educational opportunities to further their knowledge of nutrition support, enhance their skills, and network with colleagues and experts from around the world.

Travel Award for Neonatal Fellows

This travel award is designed to provide education and training to four (4) current Neonatal Fellows. This grant will allow recipients a space to network specifically with peers in their area of practice, to grow their knowledge base, collaborate on research opportunities and increase their awareness of ASPEN and how it might support their practice and career.

Grant recipients receive recognition at the Neonatal Section Forum and up to $2,000 in reimbursement funds, to include:

  • Four nights lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel.
  • Complimentary registration fee for ASPEN26 (in person).
  • Complimentary registration fee for the Pediatric Preconference Course.
  • Funds remaining may go to additional travel costs.
  • ASPEN membership fee for new members

Eligibility Details

Applicants must be a U.S.- or Canada-based Neonatal Fellow at the time of the annual meeting and agree to prepare a 3–5-minute presentation of their ASPEN conference experience and be willing to be recorded for internal ASPEN use. Completed applications must be submitted by September 21, 2025.

Submit a completed grant application, current CV, and a statement on a specific interest in neonatal nutrition and how attending the ASPEN 2026 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference will support this interest and advance the applicant’s career in the neonatal nutrition field.

Travel Award for Pediatric GI Fellows

This travel award is designed to provide education and training to four (4) current Fellows with focus and primary responsibilities working with pediatric gastrointestinal (peds GI) patients. This grant will allow recipients a space to network specifically with peers in their area of practice, to grow their knowledge base, collaborate on research opportunities and increase their awareness of ASPEN and how it might support their practice and career.

Grant recipients receive recognition at the Pediatric Section Forum and up to $2,000 in reimbursement funds, to include:

  • Four nights lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel.
  • Complimentary registration fee for ASPEN26 (in-person).
  • Complimentary registration fee for the Pediatric Preconference Course.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Dietitians Travel Award

ASPEN26 conference and travel expenses of up to $2,000 will be awarded to five (5) registered dietitians with primary responsibilities in the NICU.

Reimbursement funds will be applied to:

  • ASPEN membership fee for first-time members
  • Registration for the Pediatric Preconference Course
  • Main conference in-person registration, travel costs, and lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel

Eligibility Details

Applicants must be a registered dietitian with a focus and primary responsibilities in the NICU, Practice in the U.S. or Canada, and be a member of ASPEN. Recipients can use a portion of the grant money for the membership fees if a first-time member attends the ASPEN26 conference and NPPC preconference course in person in Long Beach, California.

Submit a grant application, including a short statement on the benefit of attending ASPEN26 to your practice.

Additional Details

Preference will be given to applicants who are early-career RDNs (less than 10 years of specialization in neonatal nutrition), submitted a scientific abstract to the ASPEN 2026 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference OR are involved in research in their hospital.

Pediatric GI Dietitians Travel Award

Five (5) registered dietitians whose primary responsibility is pediatric gastrointestinal (peds GI) patients will be supported with up to $2,000 to attend the ASPEN26 conference.

Reimbursement funds will be applied to:

  • ASPEN membership fee for first-time members
  • Registration for the Pediatric Preconference Course
  • Main conference in-person registration, travel costs, and lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel

Four (4) pharmacists whose primary responsibility is parenteral nutrition will be awarded with up to $2,000 to attend the ASPEN26 conference.

Reimbursement funds will be applied to:

  • ASPEN membership fee for first-time members
  • Registration for the Parenteral Nutrition Order Writing Course in 2026 (virtual)
  • Registration to attend the 2026 ASPEN Nutrition Science & Practice Conference (in-person only)
  • Travel costs (including airfare and transportation)
  • Four-night lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel

Applicants must be licensed pharmacists with a focus and primary responsibility working with nutrition support patients, practice in the US, Attend the ASPEN26 conference in person in Long Beach, California, and Attend the PN Order Writing Course virtually in 2026. Recipients can use a portion of the grant money for membership fees if they are a first-time member.

Preference will be given to applicants who are early to mid-career pharmacists (less than 10 years of specialty in parenteral nutrition) and are involved in research in their hospital.

NEW! Travel Award for Home Infusion Dietitians

Four (4) registered dietitians whose primary responsibility is direct patient care in home infusion will be supported with up to $2000 to attend the ASPEN26 conference.

Reimbursement funds will be applied to:

  • ASPEN membership fee for first-time members
  • Registration to attend the ASPEN 2026 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference (in-person only)
  • Travel costs (including airfare and transportation)
  • Four-night lodging at an ASPEN-contracted hotel

Additional Details

Preference will be given to applicants who submitted a scientific abstract to ASPEN26, who are involved in research at their medical center, facility, or organization, or are involved in a quality improvement project or clinical project at their organization.
