ASPEN Presidents

ASPEN was founded to ignite and support the proper application of specialized clinical nutrition worldwide.

Groundbreaking advancements in parenteral (intravenous) nutrition in the 1960s led to the founding of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) in 1975 when 100 healthcare professionals met in Chicago to create an interdisciplinary association.

50 years later, ASPEN has members all over the world and continues its proud legacy of advancing evidence-based nutrition support for all patients.
