The Stanley Serlick Award is presented to a pharmacist who has made significant contributions to improving safe practices for parenteral nutrition through published literature, membership on national committees or task forces, and/or presentations at regional and national meetings.
To submit a nomination, please complete the form. The nominator must also electronically submit two letters of support from colleagues who can attest to the contributions of the nominee.
Note that past recipients of the award are not eligible.
2026 Stanley Serlick Award Winner
Andrew A. Mays, PharmD, MBA, BCNSP, CNSC, FASHP, FASPEN, is a nutrition support pharmacist and nationally recognized leader in parenteral nutrition safety. Through his clinical practice, scholarship, education, and past leadership of ASPEN’s Parenteral Nutrition Safety Committee, he has advanced best practices related to product shortages, compounding, multi-chamber bag parenteral nutrition, transitions of care, and medication safety. Dr. Mays is widely respected for his contributions to pharmacist education, nutrition support practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration, which have strengthened patient care and safety across the field.
