The Patricia Anthony Future Leaders Award was established in recognition of the dedication and perseverance of Pat during her multi-faceted career in nutrition support and her efforts to promote the next generation of nutrition support professionals.
The Patricia Anthony Future Leaders Award recognizes a student, trainee, or new practitioner member of ASPEN who demonstrates leadership and dedication to excellence in nutrition support. Award recipients may include, but are not limited to, those who led student organizations, provided representation in a volunteer organization, masterfully presented on the topic of nutrition support, excelled in nutrition support performance, created change resulting in improvement, or meaningfully contributed to an interprofessional nutrition support team.
The winner will receive complimentary main conference registration to the in-person ASPEN 2027 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference and up to $1,500 reimbursed towards travel.
- Current ASPEN Member.
- A current student, trainee, or new practitioner (Visit ASPEN’s website for definitions).
- Agree to attend ASPEN27 in person.
- Agree to serve as a Social Media Ambassador during the conference.
- Agree to provide a blog or evaluation after the conference, describing the experience.
- Must provide the name and contact information of one mentor, supervisor, preceptor, or similar individual to complete a letter of recommendation.
- The recipient will be selected by the end of October, and all candidates will be notified.
- Past recipients of the same award, members of the ASPEN Membership & Engagement committee, and current ASPEN Board of Directors members are ineligible for consideration.
