Beginning with the January 2027 issues, ASPEN’s Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (JPEN) and Nutrition in Clinical Practice (NCP) will transition to online-only publication, ending regular print delivery.
This change helps ASPEN manage rising print and postage costs, direct resources toward its mission, and support a more sustainable future. Members will continue to receive online access to both journals.
Online Access to Clinical Nutrition Research
Online access to JPEN and NCP offers members:
- Earlier access to research. Read peer-reviewed articles as soon as they are finalized through the new rolling publication model.
- Enhanced content. Access high-resolution color figures, multimedia, video demonstrations, and downloadable datasets within articles.
- Complete archives. Search decades of clinical nutrition research.
Print Subscriptions Available at a Member Discount
Members who prefer print can purchase an annual Print-on-Demand subscription at a discounted rate. Each subscription includes all calendar-year issues, supplements, and special issues of the selected journal.
No action is needed now. In December 2026, ASPEN will share enrollment instructions and a member discount code for 2027 print subscriptions.
