Spring 2025 Application Late Deadline: March 26, 2025. Applications submitted during the late deadline period will incur a $50 late fee in addition to the standard application fee. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline, no exceptions.

Find a Testing Center Nearest to You

NBNSC offers computerized testing for its certification program.  Domestic and international sites are available, with candidates selecting preferred testing locations after registering for the exam. NBNSC certification exams will be offered at Prometric testing centers.

  • The NBNSC also gives candidates the option to test via a live remote proctored exam.  Details about the live remote proctored option are available in the candidate handbook.     
  •  If you will require a special testing location, please refer to the  PTC website for details.  
  • Special testing arrangements may be made for candidates with special needs. Please refer to the PTC Website for details.

NOTE: You will not be able to select a testing date on the Prometric site prior to receiving “Examination Scheduling Authorization” for the certification exam from PTC.

$430 Non-ASPEN Member

The reduced registration fee for ASPEN members is nontransferable between individuals or within departments/institutions and is available only to those whose dues are paid in full at the time of exam registrations.  

Active members of the Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs (NOVA) may sit for the Certification Examination for Nutrition Support Clinicians at a rate that is $50 less than the non-ASPEN member rate.  Active NOVA members, at the time of application submission should submit documentation of active NOVA membership with their application.  Active NOVA members who are also ASPEN members may not combine the discounts, only one discounted application fee may be used, either the ASPEN member fee or the discount for NOVA members.
