Through the Global Nutrition Partnership Program (GNP), international sister societies from countries classified by the World Bank as low or middle income economies* may have a group of their members join ASPEN for a reduced membership fee.
The program makes membership in ASPEN more affordable and allows for more efficient payments in U.S. funds, each sister society can tout participation in the GNP as an additional member benefit to their own members and consider this program an opportunity to pave the way for future collaborations with ASPEN.
All of the GNP Society’s participating individual members will receive:
- Access to both of ASPEN’s peer-reviewed journals, the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (JPEN) and Nutrition in Clinical Practice (NCP) electronically. Print versions of the journal may be purchased for an additional fee.
- Discounted and free education and programs, such as the ASPEN Nutrition & Science Practice Conference, Clinical Nutrition Webinars, and Malnutrition Awareness Week Webinar.
- Discount on ASPEN’s print and electronic publications.
- Access to ASPEN’s Clinical Guidelines and Research Toolkit.
- Access to ASPEN’s online member community, Member Connect, which provides the ability to network, learn, and get your questions answered.
- Volunteer opportunities including short-term, committees, and task forces.
To participate, an individual must be a member of a national society that is the representative clinical nutrition organization in that country. The society will identify members, collect payment, and have each member complete a membership application or submit the information necessary to add each individual to the ASPEN database. Participation in the program requires a minimum of 10 members from a sister society. Membership is based on an anniversary year of when the society joins ASPEN. A society may add new members to their group throughout the year however dues are not prorated, and the expiration date will align with the society.
ASPEN membership dues for the global nutrition partnership program are based on the World Bank economic rating for the country of the primary clinical nutrition society.
