Investigators who submit abstracts to the ASPEN Nutrition Science & Practice Conference during the regular submission period are eligible to apply for several prestigious abstract awards. Please confirm the eligibility of the Presenting Author before opting in.
Harry M. Vars and Promising Investigator Awards: Recognizes and honors an Early Career
Investigator who has submitted a top-scoring original abstract and demonstrates
excellence via a manuscript and oral presentation at the ASPEN Nutrition
Science & Practice Conference Premier Paper Session.
Research Trainee Awards: Honors investigators still in training (i.e. students or those in residency, internship, or
training programs) who have submitted top-scoring original abstracts to the
ASPEN Nutrition Science & Practice Conference.
Best of ASPEN Nutrition Science & Practice Abstract Awards:
Awarded to the top-scoring abstracts in each of the primary categories presented at the conference.

Abstract of Distinction Awards:
